As Director of Programming, Chris plays an integral role in developing Inspirit Foundation’s grantmaking and evaluation strategies, bringing to the role expertise in program design, stakeholder relationship building, and program evaluation.

Chris has spent much of his career working on social justice and equity issues in the arts, disability, education, and youth sectors in both BC and Ontario. His range of expertise include frontline social service work and systems change initiatives, leadership program design and facilitation, and youth-driven, cross-cultural community development. Prior to joining Inspirit Chris was the inaugural network lead of the YSI Collaborative where he stewarded its growth, increased its financial sustainability, and bolstered the organization’s profile.

He holds a B.A. (Hons) in Philosophy and German Literature from the University of King’s College and a M.Ed. from the University of British Columbia where his studies focused on issues of social policy and the citizenship of people with disabilities. Once upon a time, he held the title of Canadian National Champion in Ultimate Frisbee.
