Sadia Zaman brings a wealth of media, arts, and not-for-profit experience to her role as CEO, Inspirit Foundation. Under her leadership, the Foundation has cemented its reputation as a bold and catalytic organization in carrying out its mission of racial, social and economic justice.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Sadia held senior leadership roles at the Royal Ontario Museum, CBC, and Women in Film and Television-Toronto. Sadia began her career as a journalist, creating hundreds of hours of original, critically acclaimed content. She has won dozens of awards for her journalism and has been honoured for her leadership.

Sadia is often invited to speak nationally and internationally on a range of issues, including leadership, equity (including gender), narrative change, as well as specific subjects related to nonprofit and charitable organizations.

With over 10 years of experience at Inspirit, Chris leads the Foundation’s grantmaking and social impact programs and oversees its operations. He brings a keen sense of strategy, a breadth of experience in innovative program design, and a passion for building genuine relationships with the people and communities Inspirit serves.

Chris draws on an array of tools and partnerships to devise initiatives that advance justice, inclusion, and equity across sectors, including arts, media, and finance. He collaborates with colleagues in philanthropy, social finance, culture, journalism, government, and the nonprofit world to deliver creative approaches in service of a more just society. In 2024-25, he played a pivotal role on the team that helped secure Canada’s first cultural land trust purchase, and in 2022-23 he was a Fellow with the Just Economy Institute.

Chris earned a B.A. (Hons.) in Contemporary Studies & German Studies and an M.Ed. in Society, Culture and Politics in Education. Prior to joining Inspirit, he spent a decade working in nonprofit organizations in British Columbia and Ontario, where he gained frontline and leadership experience in social services, youth development, and community engagement. He has also volunteered on numerous boards, including First Unitarian Congregation of Toronto, where he currently serves as Chair and Co-President.

Hannah brings a wealth of expertise and lived experience to her role as Inspirit’s Manager, Administration and Special Projects. She is the daughter of Vietnamese refugees and was born and raised in her hometown of Melbourne, Australia. She graduated with a B.A. in writing and psychology from Deakin University and completed a Graduate Diploma in design at RMIT University. After traveling Europe and working and living abroad in the UK, she moved to Canada in 2015 and now holds dual citizenship.

Hannah has worked across several different sectors including publishing, design, education, consulting and finance. She is a flexible, adaptable problem-solver and always curiously learning, offering a unique worldview having lived and worked in Australia, UK and Canada.

She brings extensive experience supporting senior management teams, CEOs and Board of Directors, as well as experience in stakeholder engagement, operational support, travel logistics, recruitment and on-boarding, team building and special events planning.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, dabbling in photography and volunteering her skills for various organizations such as DesignTO Festival and The Bentway.

Based in Tiohtià:ke (Montréal), Ana Sofía Hibon brings experience from the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors and a passion for the intersection of storytelling and social change.

Ana Sofía was previously a Program Officer at the McConnell Foundation, where she developed granting and capacity building opportunities for community organizations who are tackling some of Canada’s greatest challenges: climate action, reconciliation and community wellbeing. She also co-led the implementation of McConnell’s public interest journalism strategy.

Ana Sofía’s experience spans diverse regions—including Canada, Latin America and East Africa—and topics. In the past, she advocated for the rights of migrants at the Mexico-Guatemala border, researched Montreal’s newcomer resettlement system, and engaged in poverty reduction initiatives in her home country of Peru. She also served on the board of Say Ça! Montréal, a circle of support for newcomer and refugee youth. Ana Sofía holds a B.A in International Development with a double minor in Communication Studies and Management from McGill University.

Jozef Agtarap is the Communications and Outreach Manager at Inspirit Foundation. Dedicating his career to social change, Jozef has worked in several areas across the non-profit sector such as child and youth services, humanitarian aid, and international development. His range of expertise includes communications strategy and content creation, as well as event planning and community building.

A (self-proclaimed) writer of words and liker of people, Jozef is passionate about using stories and conversations to connect individuals within the greater community. In addition to advocating for youth and racialized voices, Jozef champions the arts and culture as Vice-President of  Fiesta Filipina Dance Troupe of Canada and Chair of the Philippine Pavilion at Carabram.

A big basketball fan, he may or may not have broken down weeping in the streets of Toronto, following the Raptors’ 2019 NBA championship.

Tendisai Cromwell has a background as a multidisciplinary designer and researcher. She provided user experience (UX) research services to NorQuest college and led the UX design for an environmentally-focused virtual reality experience.

Tendisai comes to immersive tech and UX after a long and varied career in the arts. She served as an executive director of a film festival and most recently immersed herself in the creative lives of Muslim artists as the host of a community podcast. She, herself, is an artist and lifelong writer of fiction and essays. Tendisai has and continues to engage in artistic and creative collaborations, often involving nature.
