Islamophobic narratives continue to populate mainstream media and political discourse, causing harm to Muslim communities. These are reflected in laws that further entrench discriminatory attitudes and practices that impinge on Muslim communities’ rights and freedoms. To address these issues, Inspirit will be partnering with local organizations and community leaders to develop community-led responses that challenge Islamophobia and promote alternative narratives.
