Meet Inspirit’s 2023 Content Canada Delegation:
Panta Mosleh is a graduate from Groundlings School of Comedy in Los Angeles and a recipient of the 2021 SNL scholarship, Panta Mosleh is a Queer Muslim Middle Eastern- Canadian Writer-Producer-Director based out of Vancouver BC , which is on the unceded territories of the xwməθkwəy̓ əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱ wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. She is an Alumni of the women in director’s chair, Reelworld Warner Access and Bell Producing Program, NSI EAVE development program, Sundance writing for television program, and Sundance Directing program. She is currently part of the Emerging top 20 writers in Canada program with Reelworld. She is a member of the DGC and the CMPA and has worked in productions for a decade as a production coordinator, production manager, producer and a director. She recently directed three MOWs for TF1 and A&E/Lifetime. Panta draws from her personal experiences, struggles and accomplishments which makes her a very personable and relatable storyteller. She is very passionate about joyful representations of minority groups.
Rabiya Mansoor (she/they) is a Pakistani-Calgarian comedian, writer, actor, producer, and recovering lawyer. She co-created the digital series, GET UP AISHA (CBC Gem, coming soon) and is in development on multiple projects thanks to the support of the Bell Fund, OntarioCreates, IPF, CMF, Canada Council for the Arts, and Ontario Arts Council. When not dreading the abyss of existence, they like to read.
For the past decade, Shanele Soares has worked as a writer, director, and videographer in the non-profit sector across Canada, the US, and Middle East. She has spent the last year pivoting into the television and film industry, producing, writing and directing one feature-length documentary and two scripted shorts. Shanele is currently working on developing her first script television series while simultaneously co-producing and directing her first scripted feature. She also works as a marketing and EDI executive for Canadian production companies.
Sina Sultani is an award-winning writer, director, producer with screenings at Cannes, the Oscar-qualifying LA Shorts Fest and CSA-qualifying Reykjavik International Film Festival. In 2022 he participated in the Whistler Producers Lab and recently took part in Paul Feig and Sameer Gardezi’s Break the Room initiative. In 2023 he served as a production manager on Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse with Sony Pictures Imageworks, and is currently in development on his first sci-fi feature and a half-hour workplace comedy.
Rua Wani is a producer and co-founder of Adani Pictures, where she is developing a slate of TV series and feature films supported by the CMF, ON Creates, and the Bell Fund. Previously, Rua was a development and production exec at Boat Rocker Media, where she worked on celebrated primetime scripted dramas and comedies such as ORPHAN BLACK (BBC America, Space). Rua is an alumnus of producer labs at Series Mania, EAVE, Reelworld, BANFF Spark, and CFC Fifth Wave. She is also a film festival juror, speaker, and film & TV instructor at Toronto Metropolitan University and George Brown College.
