Teesri Duniya

Teesri Duniya Theatre is dedicated to producing politically relevant plays that explore life-affecting issues faced by people today. Teesri aims to uplift the voices of historically marginalized communities by making the space for their cultural experiences to be reflected on our stage. This grant supported the ‘Gaza Dialogues’ event.

The Breach is an independent media outlet producing public service journalism. This grant supports The Breach in its analysis of mainstream Canadian media coverage of the Israel/Palestine war.

Muslims in Media

Muslims in Media supports productions and offers professional development opportunities for artists working on nuanced depictions of Muslim life. This grant supported Episodic Muslim Writers Room, a training program for mid-tier Muslim screen-based industry writers in Canada.

Concordia University is an English-language public research university located in Montreal. The Institute for Inclusive, Investigative, and Innovative Journalism is aimed at generating thoughtful, ground-breaking journalism to develop the future of the industry. This grant supported the hiring of an Indigenous journalist position.
