The Muslim International Film Festival is a non-profit organization that is committed to providing a platform for both current and aspiring filmmakers, creative storytellers, videographers, designers, creatives and media junkies to portray Muslim Excellence on the big screen. It works to unify, elevate and advocate for independent media organizations and to strengthen innovation, inclusivity and diversity in media across the country. This grant supports the Press Forward Summit 2025.

TAF has grown into a multifaceted organisation that promotes the diversity of Arab cultures, builds community, creates opportunities for exchange, and develops emerging artists. Reelworld Screen Institute

Reelworld was founded in 2000 to advance opportunities for Indigenous people and Canadians who are Black, Asian, South Asian and People of Colour in the screen industries by providing professional development and advocating for racial equity in Canadian content and production.This grant supports the 2025 Reelword Film Festival + Summit.

Hot Docs Festival

Hot Docs is not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing and celebrating the art of documentary and creating production opportunities for documentary filmmakers. This grant supports an industry panel titled “Truth of Bias: Making Documentaries in the Age of Polarization”.

OCAD University

This grant supported DemocracyXChange (DXC) 2025, Canada’s premier democracy summit offers keynote speakers, expert panels and participatory workshops, created to both examine and tackle today’s most urgent civic issues. DXC is co-produced by OCAD University, The Open Democracy Project and the Dais at TMU.

Canadian Independent Screen Fund for BPOC Creators

The Canadian Independent Screen Fund for BPOC Creators is a national funding initiative dedicated to supporting small, medium, and large Canadian-owned BPOC (Black and People of Color) production companies.
