The Green Line is an award-winning, hyperlocal news outlet that investigates the way Torontonians live to help young and other underserved people survive and thrive in the city. This grant supports the Documenters/Documentalistes Canada pilot project, which trains and pays citizens to document public meetings relevant to their community.

The Walrus is a registered charity that publishes independent, fact-based journalism, produces national, ideas-focused events, and trains emerging professionals in publishing and nonprofit management. This grant supported the presentation of the event ‘The Walrus Talks at Home: Polarization.’

Real News Foundation

This grant supported an event by the Canadian Independent Media Fund, a collective of independent media creators, journalists, and supporters dedicated to building a sustainable future for independent media in Canada.

aabaakwad

aabaakwad is an Indigenous Arts Collective devoted to the dissemination, exhibition, promotion and development of International Indigenous arts. They host yearly gatherings of International Indigenous artists, curators and writers in different countries. This grant supported the 2024 annual gathering, hosted in partnership with the University of Toronto.
