Canadian Journalists of Colour

Canadian Journalists of Colour is a community of Indigenous, Black and People of Colour media workers across Canada. CJOC offers a supportive environment for journalists of colour to engage and discuss the journalism industry. This grant supported an Anti-Black Racism in Journalism webinar.

ImagiNATIVE

imagiNATIVE showcases, promotes, and celebrates Canadian and international Indigenous filmmakers and media artists. imagiNATIVE is committed to a greater understanding by audiences of Indigenous peoples, cultures, and artistic expressions. This grant supported their Digital Pivot response project.

Yellowhead Institute

Yellowhead Institute is an Indigenous-led research and education centre based in the Faculty of Arts at Toronto Metropolitan University. The Institute publishes Indigenous policy perspectives, privileging Indigenous philosophy and amplifying Indigenous voices. This grant supported a call for collaboration as a response to COVID-19.

The Indigenous Curatorial Collective / Collectif des commissaires autochtones (ICCA) is an Indigenous run and led not-for-profit organization that aims to support and connect fellow Indigenous curators, artists, writers, academics, and professionals through various methods of gathering.
