Indigenous 150+ is dedicated to celebrating First Nations, Métis and Inuit voices and includes a podcast series and media training programs focused on career development for Indigenous youth and emerging creatives. This grant supported a podcast impact campaign.

The Indigenous Communication Arts (INCA) program at First Nations University is a unique program in Canada that provides journalism and communications education that is immersed in an Indigenous worldview and delivered within an Indigenous-led institution.

Institute for Investigative Journalism at Concordia University

Concordia University is an English-language public research university located in Montreal. The Institute for Inclusive, Investigative, and Innovative Journalism is aimed at generating thoughtful, ground-breaking journalism to develop the future of the industry. This grant supported “Project Pandemic”.

Yellowhead Institute

Yellowhead Institute is an Indigenous-led research and education centre based in the Faculty of Arts at Toronto Metropolitan University. The Institute publishes Indigenous policy perspectives, privileging Indigenous philosophy and amplifying Indigenous voices. This grant supported a call for collaboration as a response to COVID-19.

Indigenous Curatorial Collective

The Indigenous Curatorial Collective / Collectif des commissaires autochtones (ICCA) is an Indigenous run and led not-for-profit organization that aims to support and connect fellow Indigenous curators, artists, writers, academics, and professionals through various methods of gathering. This grant supported the “Curating Care” project.
