Project Pandemic: Canada Reports on COVID-19 Makes News
Media Coverage
Project Pandemic: Canada Reports on COVID-19 made news by highlighting barriers faced by First Nations Communities in Saskatchewan. Many communities are far from healthcare facilities, endure crowded housing, have a large aging population, and have difficulty accessing personal protective equipment.
Project Pandemic is a data-sharing collaboration designed to support Canadian news organizations by providing local maps documenting COVID-19 infections and other unique information at no cost.
Inspirit grantee, the Institute for Investigative Journalism (Concordia University), leads the project.
