Racial Equity Screen Office is a Vancouver-based organization that supports the mentorship, training, funding, production, and distribution of content by racialized Canadian filmmakers with diverse stories. This grant supports the East by Northwest Summit.

Reelworld Screen Institute

Reelworld was founded in 2000 to advance opportunities for Indigenous people and Canadians who are Black, Asian, South Asian and People of Colour in the screen industries by providing professional development and advocating for racial equity in Canadian content and production.This grant supports the 2025 Reelword Film Festival + Summit.

OCAD University

This grant supported DemocracyXChange (DXC) 2025, Canada’s premier democracy summit offers keynote speakers, expert panels and participatory workshops, created to both examine and tackle today’s most urgent civic issues. DXC is co-produced by OCAD University, The Open Democracy Project and the Dais at TMU.

Creatives Empowered

Creatives Empowered is a non-profit collective of artists and creatives. They are Black, Indigenous and People of Colour, empowering each other as an allied community. Members are film and tv, media and arts professionals–from emerging to established–based in western Canada.

Founded in 1996, Canadian Association of Black Journalists (CABJ) strives to advance the work of Black journalists and media professionals in Canada. This grant supported a cohort to the NABJ conference.

GAPC Entertainment is a vibrant, independent Canadian production company with a passion for creating quality programming for national and international audiences. This grant supported the development of an impact campaign for the documentary film, “So You Want to be a Muslim.”

Fondation Dynastie

Fondation Dynastie works to transform the cultural, artistic and media industries to ensure better representation of Black communities in Québec. This grant supports Sommet Dynastie, which will convene Black leaders, creatives and entrepreneurs in Montréal in April 2025.
