Emancipation Arts is a multi-platform content creator committed to telling vital stories which showcase the diversity of human experience and expand social boundaries. This grant supported FreeUp! Emancipation Day 2021.

The Mosquers was started in 2006 as a short-film festival to provide a platform for local films by Muslim filmmakers in Edmonton. It has emerged as a key organization in Canada’s Muslim creative sector over the past decade. This grant supported the 2021 Mosquers festival.

Woodland Cultural Centre

The Woodland Cultural Centre serves to preserve, promote and strengthen Indigenous language, culture, art and history; bringing the story of the Hodinohsho:ni people of the Eastern Woodlands to life through innovative exhibitions and programs. This grant supported the Save the Evidence campaign.

Hot Docs

Hot Docs is not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing and celebrating the art of documentary and creating production opportunities for documentary filmmakers. This grant supported the Podcast Festival and BIPOC Fellowship program.

Indigenous 150+

Indigenous 150+ is dedicated to celebrating First Nations, Métis and Inuit voices and includes a podcast series and media training programs focused on career development for Indigenous youth and emerging creatives. This grant supported the Indigenous Youth Ambassador program.

Volcano Non-Profit Productions Inc.

Volcano is a Toronto-based performance company that creates work experimentally, collaboratively, and with an eye to transcending borders of all kinds – international, artistic, and cultural. This grant supported a reimagining of Scott Joplin’s Treemonisha.

Inner Vision Productions Inc.

This grant supported a virtual writer’s room training bootcamp for six participants from BIPOC and under-represented communities in Canada.

Hello Cool World Media is an award-winning full service creative & digital agency that works internationally in the areas of health and wellness, harm reduction and social justice. This grant supported the “HIV: Healing Inner Voices” impact campaign.

Story Money Impact

Story Money Impact is a registered charity that creates positive change through active engagement of courageous filmmakers to refine and amplify their messages for systemic change through impact strategy, education, and partnerships with constituents. This grant supported the SMI Pod Program.
