The Green Line is an award-winning, hyperlocal news outlet that investigates the way Torontonians live to help young and other underserved people survive and thrive in the city. This grant supports the Documenters/Documentalistes Canada pilot project, which trains and pays citizens to document public meetings relevant to their community.

Press Forward

Press Forward is an organization dedicated to ensuring people in Canada have strong, independent and community-focused journalism. It works to unify, elevate and advocate for independent media organizations and to strengthen innovation, inclusivity and diversity in media across the country.

Samara Centre for Democracy

The Samara Centre for Democracy is a non-partisan charity with a mission to realize a resilient democracy with an engaged public and responsive institutions. This grant will support project Verified, which will work to track online abuse against journalists in the upcoming Canadian federal election.

Muslim Literary Festival

Muslim Literary Festival is a vibrant community hub where Muslim writers connect, collaborate, and learn from industry professionals. MLF works to address the barriers that challenge Muslim writers, offering educational tools and networking opportunities.

GAPC Entertainment Inc.

GAPC Entertainment is a vibrant, independent Canadian production company with a passion for creating quality programming for national and international audiences. This grant supported the development of an impact campaign for the documentary film, “So You Want to be a Muslim.”

Fondation Dynastie

Fondation Dynastie works to transform the cultural, artistic and media industries to ensure better representation of Black communities in Québec. This grant supports Sommet Dynastie, which will convene Black leaders, creatives and entrepreneurs in Montréal in April 2025.
