Racial Equity Screen Office is a Vancouver-based organization that supports the mentorship, training, funding, production, and distribution of content by racialized Canadian filmmakers with diverse stories. This grant supports the East by Northwest Summit 2026.

Reelworld Screen Institute

Reelworld Screen Institute was founded in 2000 to advance opportunities for Indigenous people and Canadians who are Black, Asian, South Asian and People of Colour in the screen industries by providing professional development and advocating for racial equity in Canadian content and production. This grant supports the Reelworld Summit 2026.

Orizon 9

ORIZON 9 is a non-profit organisation whose mandate is to assist in the distribution, dissemination and promotion of films made primarily by diverse filmmakers. This grant supports Projections, a program designed to train directors and producers in the self-distribution of their films.

Islamic Information & Dawah Centre International

This grant supports the Muslim Creator Development Lab (Beyond the Frame), a program which trains and empowers Canadian Muslims to explore their histories and contributions through storytelling. The Lab will be developed and delivered through the Muslim Media Hub program.

OCAD University

This grant supports DemocracyXChange (DXC) 2026, Canada’s premier democracy summit offers keynote speakers, expert panels and participatory workshops, created to both examine and tackle today’s most urgent civic issues. DXC is co-produced by OCAD University, The Open Democracy Project and the Dais at TMU.
